First, apologies for such a big gap in between posts. Maybe that means we are starting to settle in here.
Singapore is a in the middle of being smoked out. The smoke is coming from Indonesia, they are burning off last years crops and leveling land for new development. This happens every year during dry season, but this year is off the charts. The previous PSI (Pollutant Standards Index) record high was 130 which happened ten years ago. This year the high on Friday reached 401. For reference, they can't measure past 500. Below is a look out my office in Chinatown. I took the pictures at 9m, noon and 3pm. At noon when I went for lunch, there was such a orange haze and everyone running around with masks on it felt so surreal. Thankfully the winds changed directions and increased in speed. I had to laugh when the headline in the Singapore news paper from the Indonesian government was "Quit your crying, babies!".

Me at work Friday. My eyes were burning so bad. Could have also had something to do with me taking the red-eye back from Guangzhou that morning.
